Design & Development

Design and engineering, one team, one bill.

Most agencies hand a static mockup to a separate dev shop and let you absorb the translation loss. We do not. The people who design your product are in the same standup as the people shipping it — so what you approved is what goes live.

  • Web + mobile
  • Fixed-scope pricing
  • You own the code

What's included

Everything between the idea and the live product.

Scope is agreed up front and written down. If something is not on this list for your project, it will be explicitly out of scope in the proposal — no ambiguity, no surprise change orders.

Discovery & strategy

We talk to you and your customers, look at what your competitors are doing, and write down exactly what we will build and what it costs. You can walk away after this step and keep the document.

UX & interface design

We plan the pages, sketch them, then design them properly. Every screen is designed for a phone first, then for a big monitor — not squashed down afterwards.

Design system

We build a reusable kit of buttons, cards and layouts. It means your next ten pages cost a fraction of the first ten, and everything stays looking like one brand.

Front-end engineering

We build the site so it loads fast and works everywhere — including on an old phone with one bar of signal, which is where a lot of your customers are.

Mobile applications

If you need an app as well, it shares the same look as your website, so customers recognise you across both.

Headless CMS setup

You get a simple place to edit your own text and photos, without calling us. We train you, and record the session so you can rewatch it.

Performance & Core Web Vitals

A slow page loses customers before they read a word. We treat slowness as a fault to fix, not an upgrade to sell you.

Accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA)

The site is checked so people with poor eyesight or who cannot use a mouse can still buy from you. Done before launch, not after a complaint.

SEO foundations

The site is built from day one so Google can read it properly. Bolting this on later costs far more than doing it now.

How we work

Four phases. No black box.

You see working software early and often. Every phase ends in something you can review, not a status email.

  1. 01

    Discover

    1–2 weeks

We interview your team and your customers, audit what exists, and agree what success looks like in numbers. Output is a scope document and a fixed price.

    You receive

    • Stakeholder interviews
    • Analytics & UX audit
    • Fixed-price scope document
  2. 02

    Design

    2–5 weeks

Architecture and wireframes first, then interface. Weekly reviews in Figma with comments, so feedback happens in one place and nothing gets lost in email.

    You receive

    • Sitemap & user flows
    • Wireframes
    • High-fidelity UI
    • Design system
  3. 03

    Build

    3–10 weeks

Two-week sprints against a staging URL you can open any time. Automated accessibility and performance checks run on every pull request.

    You receive

    • Staging environment
    • Sprint demos
    • CMS configuration
    • QA across real devices
  4. 04

    Launch & hand over

    1 week

Redirect mapping, analytics, search console, and a recorded training session. You get the repository, the Figma file and the documentation. No hostage-taking.

    You receive

    • Launch checklist
    • Redirect map
    • Recorded training
    • Repo & asset handover

The stack we reach for

You do not need to know what these are. They matter because they are widely used and well supported, which means your site will still be maintainable in five years by someone who is not us.

Questions

Before you ask

Do we own the code and the designs?

Yes, completely. On final payment you receive the Git repository, the Figma files and all source assets. There is no proprietary page builder, no licence to keep paying, and nothing that stops another team maintaining it.

Can you work with our existing codebase?

Usually. We start with a short technical audit to establish what is safe to build on and what is not, then quote against that. If we think a rewrite is the wrong call for you commercially, we will say so.

Do you build native mobile apps or cross-platform?

Both. React Native with Expo covers most business cases at lower cost and shares a design system with your web product. We recommend fully native when the app depends on heavy device hardware, complex background processing, or platform-specific UI conventions.

What happens after launch?

Every project includes a support window — 30 days on marketing sites, 90 on product builds — covering defects at no cost. After that you can move to a monthly retainer or take it in-house. We do not lock the door behind us either way.

How involved do we need to be?

Expect roughly two to four hours a week from one empowered decision-maker: a weekly review call plus asynchronous feedback. Projects slow down when approval requires a committee, so we agree who signs off before we start.

Tell us what you are trying to build.

A 30-minute call is enough for us to tell you whether we are the right studio — and if we are not, who is.
